Spitskop - from behind Noordhoek Manor

NB: SADLY because of development the start of the walk described below is no longer possible. When we have investigated a new starting point, I will post it.
A steep climb, with wonderful views. Starting behind Noordhoek Manor Retirement Village, at the gravel road off Topaz Walk, we aim to walk up to Spitskop and across to the Silvermine Dam.
Meet at the Carpark at the Silvermine Dam (you will need Wildcard or money, and a SANParks dog activity card if you have a dog.) We can leave the cars here, and all get into the Land Rover - and another car depending on how many turn up - to drive to the start of the walk. Then once we have done the walk, someone can take us back to fetch the cars.
The get to the start of the walk (in case anyone would like to meet us there and get a lift back), turn off Ou Kaapse Weg into Silvemine Rd, then first right into Paddock Road. Then first left into Emerald Crescent - the road goes uphill and curves, then turn first right into Topaz Way; proceed to the top; the road has a 45 deg. bend. Bear left, bypassing Jasper Way on the right, and proceed along Topaz Way for a further 100 metres to where you see a gravel road going up onto the mountain.
From Spitskop you just do down the path into Silvermine and along the path back down to the Dam. It takes about three hours from start to finish (add on for tea and photographs). The path is a bit sloshy but dog friendly.

Down to the Sunbird Centre

Meet at the Wolfkop Carpark (off Ou Kaapse Weg) and we will walk around Maiden Peak and Klein Tuinkop via the Amphitheatre and then turn down towards the Sunbird Centre where a car will be waiting to take us back.
Probably about 3 to 4 hours long.

Two Steenberg Peaks

Meet at the parking at the start of the Steenberg Peak walk on Boyes Drive. (It is just near the Westlake end of Boyes Drive.) We will go up this steep path with Lower Steenberg Peak on our right and Muizenberg Peak on our left. At the top we have the choice of going to Muizenberg Peak and looping back or just heading off to the Higher Steenberg Peak (where the Fat Lady shelter is) and down to the Wolfkop parking where we will have left the Land Rover to take us all back to the start.

Amphitheatre Walk

From the Silvermine Dam parking, up to Steenberg Ridge, across to the Amphitheatre Path and down to the Dam. About 2 hours.

Chapmans to Silvermine Dam

We will leave cars at Silvermine, and all go in one car to the start of the Chapmans Peak Drive path just before the boom (with a free pass from the Toll booth). This walk goes up to to the crossroads at the top, then straight up towards Noordhoek Peak to the 689 m beacon at the top of Noordhoek ridge. It is quite a pull! From there we join the amphitheatre path and head to the dam. Should take about 3-4 hours.

To the Constantiaberg mast

Meet at the Silvermine Parking near the dam.
You will need a Wildcard or some money to get in - I think its R15.
We will walk along the Steenberg Ridge overlooking Tokai - lovely views - then head up to the mast and down to the lookout point above Blackburn Ravine, then back to the dam parking.
Easy but quite long walk - about 4 hours.
